Application Portal for 2026 Welfare Grants Opens

The Hong Kong Jockey Club Equine Welfare Research Foundation is pleased to announce that its sixth call for applications for funding will open between 1st December 2025 and 31st January 2026. Applicants may submit their applications on-line through the Foundation’s Grant Management System.
The Foundation aims to encourage and support scientific research studies that will contribute to improving the care and quality of life of the Thoroughbred racehorse. We have considered advice from a wide range of stakeholders and identified important issues that are most relevant to horses in Hong Kong and the global racehorse population. High-quality applications that address these Priority Research Topics will be more likely to receive funding.
Anyone considering making an application is welcome to contact the Foundation directly to discuss questions that they may have about their proposal, or technical issues associated with the submission process.
